It's been a long time.... Spiderman Birthday Layout

Wow, it has been along time since I last posted. I quit being a Stampin' Up Demonstrator. I still love the quality of their products, but have just been really disappointed in the selection since the whole color renovation. They pretty much rid the line up of almost all of my favorite colors. I tried, I really did give it a worthwhile try, but I just couldn't embrace it. Also, I just got too busy with life. I started volunteering at the kids school more and between a fulltime job, being a wife, and Mom, I just couldn't keep up anymore. In addition, I got into Stampin Up because I wanted to scrapbook and I found myself only making cards. I hadn't scrapped more than a few pages during the entire year. Also, I was very frustrated that I couldn't post pictures of my creations if I used other products and well lets face it, there is a ton of awesome products out there that work great with Stampin Up and I want to use it all.

My New Year's Resolution was to get back to scrapbooking and start using up this product that I had been obsessed with buying including cricut cartridges that were collecting dust.

My son's birthday was in December and he loves Spiderman so I created these 4 pages for him. I struggled finding any layouts to work with this, but thanks to the Spiderman 2012 calendar I was inspired to come up with this.

Products Used:
SU Cardstock: Colors are Brilliant Blue, Real Red, and Daffodil Delight.
Sandylion Spiderman Stickers
I also used SU Inks to sponge the edges and give it a little dimension.
I downloaded a Spiderman Font on my computer and that is how I created the Title.

Simple but it took me nearly 4 hours. Hope you enjoy!

Anyway, I updated the link to include the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog and Definitely Decorative 2010 Catalog. Enjoy and contact me if you want to place an order.

Welcome Neighbor

Last week in our neighborhood we got new neighbors right next door. I'm thrilled about this because the previous folks did not take care of the yard and the first day they were moving in, I could hear them talking about all that they were going to be doing to the yard. I'm so excited, hoping that people moving into all of the foreclosures in the area will start bring property values back up. We don't have a very tight knit neighborhood and I really hope to change that by welcoming the new neighbors with a card and cookies. I took inspiration from two fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators who have projects posted at a SU demo website only. Thanks Carrie Arsenault and Marti Smith. I combined their two different style cards.

Cardstock: Old Olive
DSP: Welcome Neighbor 6x6 DSP (SAB 2010)
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Chocolate Chip
Ribbon: 1/4 inch Old Olive Grosgrain

Bridal Shower Workshop

These are four layouts that guests at a Bridal Shower Workshop will create. There will be 2 or 3 of each layout because this workshop will have several guests. I've left space for the bride to journal her own thoughts down on each page. I also plan to bring some other stamp sets in case guests would like to change any of the images.

Blackhawk, CO

Hi Stampers...

Just wanted to share with you my weekend. My husband and I just celebrated 16 years of marriage on 4/30. We went up to Blackhawk, CO and stayed overnight at the Ameristar Hotel & Casino. Wow, what a gorgeous hotel. I can't wait to go back. Of course, we forgot bathing suits and were disappointed that we couldn't use the pool and can you believe it, I forget my camera. It was a ton of fun, but we lost money, didn't win a dime. I have no luck at all. Anyway, I would recommend this place to anyone planning to stay overnight up there. The King Deluxe room is outstanding.

Ok, I made a few crafts and I will try to post them tonight for Teacher Appreciation Week.

Beautiful Butterflies Die

I made this card to showcase this SU only Sizzix die for a new customer of mine. She loves butterflies so I ordered this to make sure I could demo it for her. She loved it and ordered one herself. I had never considered this die until now and I'm so happy I have it. It has become one of my favorite to use.

I have another card similiar that a friend and I made for our upcoming Teacher Appreciation Week. I will post it after I know they have received the cards, don't want to spoil any surprises.
